Webinar: Green Events Code of Practice Pilot Project Key Findings for Local Authorities

Calling all Local Authorities! You are invited to join a special webinar on Wednesday 29 January at 1pm to be the first to hear the key findings of the Green Events Code of Practice (GECoP) pilot project. Please register in advance >> https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/ed-je_RvQ9SvJKxjveOh1g#/registration

Join Richard Phillips (Julie’s Bicycle), Chris Johnson (Vision: 2025) and Andrew Lansley for a presentation of the outcomes of the Green Events Code of Practice (GECoP) pilot project which assessed over 60 events against minimum environmental standards adopted by 10 local authorities across England. The webinar will spotlight the main learnings of the project, including how successfully minimum environmental standards can be adopted by local authorities, the positive environmental impact that can be achieved even with minimum requirements on events and the wider benefits that local authorities and events stand to gain from further adoption of GECoP. The webinar is a first look at these findings ahead of a full report due to be released in the coming weeks.

By joining this webinar, you will learn from the experiences of the pilot group of local authorities testing GECoP, including Bristol City Council, Colchester City Council, Gloucester City Council, Leicester City Council, Liverpool City Council, Maldon District Council, Manchester City Council, Norwich City Council, Reading Borough Council and West Northamptonshire Council.
